Saksang - Bataknese Popular dishes

Saksang or Sa-sang is a savory, spicy dish from the Bataks of Indonesia.[3] It is made from minced pork or dog[1] meat (or more rarely, water buffalo meat) stewed in blood,[2] coconut milk and spices (including kaffir lime and bay leavescoriander,shallotgarlicchili pepper and Thai pepperlemongrassgingergalangalturmeric and andaliman (the fruit of a native shrub similar to Sichuan pepper)).[1]
Saksang has special significance to the Bataks, as it is an obligatory dish in Batak marriage celebrations.

Day 1: Medan - Berastagi
Arrive at Polonia Airport Medan (soon will move to Kuala Namu International Airport), proceed with our comfortable VIP transport to Berastagi. This town is very popular for its cool weather and producer of fruits and vegetables. Lunch at local restaurant, you can enjoy the famous "Saksang", roasted pork with its sambal Andaliman. Next proceed to Lumbini park, where replica of Shwedagon Pagoda from Myanmar located. This pagoda is recorded in Indonesia Record Museum as the highest pagoda. Next proceed to "Markisa (passion fruit) and Orange Farm", you can pick your own fruits directly from plants. Hotel Check-in. At night time, you will proceed to local town center markets where you can see the night beat of berastagi town and buy various kinds of local "Ulos", souvenirs, fruits, vegetables, clothes.

Day 2: Berastagi - Parapat - Medan
After breakfast, we will proceed to Parapat. This town in very popular where it is locates just beside the Lake Toba, you can enjoy the scenic view of the largest lake with its supervolcano. With ferry, you will cruise along the lake to Tomok, Samosir Island. In this island, you can see the tomb of King Sidabutar with its Anting Malela legend and shop souvenirs and handicrafts. Take ferry back to Parapat and proceed to Medan city. Hotel Check-in and enjoy your free time leisuring this city.

Day 3: Medan City Tour
After breakfast, you will visit the Maimoon Palace and Grand Mosque. Both buildings were built during Sultan Deli era with mixing culture Islam, India, Italian, Spanish with the finest materials and ornaments. Next shop the famous Bolu Meranti and Bika Ambon, local specialties as souvenirs at your own expenses. Lunch buffet at Aryaduta Hotel, eat as many as you like. Next you will be transfered to airport, see you again.
